Beechworth
We went off to Beechworth with the aim of starting along the Great Alpine Road. Beechworth is a lovely little town with some history stuff thrown in.
Managed to procure this little establishement to stay in. It's fantastic - a whole cottage to ourselves.
It's all traditional inside and is full of antiques.
The pub - there's always a pub.
This is the courthouse where Ned Kelly and a load of other pikeys have appeared. Today, it's the turn of my convict wife.
Woah. Talk about poacher turned gamekeeper.
Yes, I look bloody silly in this wig. Lawyers, take note.
And that's a shot down the high street.
