Myrtleford was, at one time at the heart of the tobacco growing region and there's supposed to be a Big Thing - the Big Smoke (a cigarrette, presumably). I couldn't find it though. The do-gooders have got to it, or I may just be going blind.

Myrtleford
This is near the beginning of the Great Alpine Road - the subject of the next few posts.
Myrtleford was, at one time at the heart of the tobacco growing region and there's supposed to be a Big Thing - the Big Smoke (a cigarrette, presumably). I couldn't find it though. The do-gooders have got to it, or I may just be going blind.
The car after a nice wash.
This is a tobacco drying kiln.
Ah, yes. Earlier in the trip, I was driving around a town hoping to see a ford to drive through - just because I wanted to. Kim told me there was no such thing as a ford in Australian and I should not bring my pommy language quirks to the wrong side of the world. Then we found a ford. The sign saying "Caution - Ford" is just out of shot.
