Broken Hill to Port Augusta

Broken Hill to Port Augusta took us back to the coast for a while.

Finally, the SA border - where it looks like the NSW-men take their dead cars.

A nice little train station that has probably seen better days round here.

An another roadhouse. Seem the further west you go, the more eccentric are the roadhouse owners.

This one has a little garden made out of stuff that has been discarded / fallen off trucks / etc.

One of the many storm drainage ditches under the Indian Pacific rail line. We didn't see one train in the whole trip.

The Giant Red Gum at Orroroo (great name, eh). Kim is waving her arms around somewhere near the bottom (oh, behave!).

See.

The pub at Wilmington where we had lunch.

Round the back is the 'historic stable' whose roof was recently blown off.

And there's a Kiwi magnet.

Long shot of the Spencer Gulf which goes right up to Port Augusta...

...where we had breakfast with these Galahs
